The Flamenco Sangria

The CHYŽA CNK independent culture center invites you to a flamenco evening with the flamenco dancer Daša Toporcerová. During the evening, there will be dancing and storytelling about life and culture in Spanish Andalusia. Daša will showcase both sad and joyful dance forms and will share her experiences during her time in Seville.

Daša Toporcerová is part of the second generation of flamenco in Slovakia. She has lived and studied flamenco dance in Spanish Andalusia. She is a student of well-known professors: Alicia Marquez, Rosa Belmonte, El Orucca, Adela Campallo, Juan Polvilla, Carmen Ledesma, Pablo Egea Campillo, Ana Morales, and Alfonso Losa. Since 2013, she has been active in the Slovak group El Moro, which focuses on flamenco and Balkan themes. She has dramaturgically worked on independent projects, such as Bosé nohy at the P.O. Hviezdoslav Theatre in Bratislava, and is also the choreographer of the musical Emanuel in collaboration with the Agapé Theatre in Trnava.
