Bešeňová Water Park

Introduction

Bešeňová Water Park is the largest thermal water park in Slovakia, covering 6 hectares in the beautiful nature of the Liptov Valley. It uses unique geothermal water springing from a depth of 1,998 meters at 60.5°C with a flow rate of 45 l/s. The resort is located directly below Bešeňová Reservoir, just 9 km from Ružomberok and 20 km from Liptovský Mikuláš.

History

The use of geothermal energy in the Liptov Valley began with the construction of a drilling rig in 1987. The first thermal pools opened to the public in 1993. The resort underwent significant changes after extensive investments, and since 2006, catering and accommodation services have been added. In summer 2008, new outdoor pools, water slides and toboggans were added, making it one of the largest water parks in Slovakia.

For Families with Children

The water park offers a total of 23 pools, 8 of which are outdoor pools open all year round. Children can enjoy numerous water slides and toboggans, summer attractions, and a special Fun Tent. Indoor pools are equipped with underwater seating benches, massage jets and bubble loungers. Restaurants, bars and fast food stalls are available on site.

For Couples and Wellness Enthusiasts

The complex includes Harmónia wellness center with 5 saunas with inhalations, water mist and whirlpools. The Thai Relax Center offers traditional Thai massages. There is also a relaxation center with a fitness center and solarium. Evening swimming and special sauna rituals create a romantic atmosphere.

Practical Information

The resort is open all year round. Opening hours: Sunday to Thursday 10:00 - 20:00, Friday and Saturday 10:00 - 21:00. Three hotels with a capacity of almost 500 guests are available on site. The congress center offers 4 conference halls with capacity from 15 to 100 people. Parking is available directly at the resort, free for hotel guests.
