Wandering Cinema Under the Stars in BACHLEDKA: The Film POTOPA

Experience a unique summer movie evening in the beautiful surroundings of Bachledova Valley. On Saturday, July 4, 2026, at 21:15, Wandering Cinema will bring the screening of the award-winning Slovak film POTOPA directed by Martin Gonda to BACHLEDKA.

A strong and emotional story set in eastern Slovakia in 1980 follows the fate of fifteen-year-old Mary and her father Alexander during the construction of the Starina water reservoir. The film brings the theme of loss of home, conflict between traditions and the desire for freedom, while standing out for its authentic atmosphere and use of the Rusyn language.

The screening will take place at the bottom station of the cable car in the BACHLEDKA resort. Entry to the event is free and refreshments will be available to visitors throughout the evening at Restaurant LA Gamba.

Come enjoy a quality Slovak film under the night sky, surrounded by the beauty of the Belianske Tatras. In case of inclement weather, the event will not take place.
