Weekend of Open Parks and Gardens 2026

The weekend at the beginning of June will once again belong to parks and gardens, as well as other interesting green and historically valuable locations. Slovak parks and gardens are joining the ideas of the international volunteer event Weekend of Open Parks and Gardens for the eighteenth time. Among the participating locations, where visitors can expect an interesting offer, this year will not lack remarkable parks, gardens, and areas in Spišská Nová Ves and its surroundings.

The Weekend of Open Parks and Gardens, in collaboration with partners, is prepared by the National Trust, a non-profit organization dedicated to the protection of cultural and natural heritage. In its 18th edition, over 120 areas across Slovakia will participate, striving to raise public awareness of the beauty of green spaces, their quality, interesting and rich history, and the need for their protection and enhancement.
