Vernissage and Exhibition of Photographs by Milan Kapusta

The vernissage of photographs by the famous Slovak photographer Milan Kapusta. Milan Kapusta was born in Rožňava in 1960. He graduated from the Secondary Technical School of Geology and Mining in Spišská Nová Ves. The former mining technician got into photography through mountaineering. He started climbing in 1977 in the Mountaineering Section of the Tatran Sports Club in Spišská Nová Ves and later joined the HO TJ Metropol Košice. Besides the High Tatras, he has climbed in the Spitsbergen, Pamirs, the USA in Yosemite National Park, the Alps, and other mountain ranges in Europe. His photographs have won awards in several photo contests, from regional to national and international levels. He is the holder of the title Master of the Slovak Photographers' Association (MZSF). He has exhibited his photographs both at home and abroad. In 2001, he was the photographer for Rudolf Schuster, the President of the Slovak Republic. The photographic publication Tatras - The Crown of the Carpathians represents a representative book that showcases the unique beauty of the Tatras through exceptional shots. It takes readers to inaccessible locations without hiking trails and offers unique folding panoramas.
