Tourist event: Surroundings of Donovaly

The Department of the Slovak Tourist Club AC Lokomotíva Bane Spišská Nová Ves organizes hiking trips in the Low Tatras.

Date: May 1 – 3, 2026 (Friday - Sunday) Gathering: April 30, 2026, at 14:50 at Spišská Nová Ves train station Departure: April 30, 2026, at 15:05 – by train to Ružomberok and by bus to Donovaly, Pod Magurou 18:10 Estimated return: May 3, 2026, at 15:00 to Spišská Nová Ves train station

Routes: will be determined according to the schedule of the leader and the agreement of the participants for each day 1. May 1, 2026 – Nová Hoľa, Zvolen, Šturec – 14.7 km, ascent/descent: 655/971 m 2. May 2, 2026 – Kečka, Handliarka – 13 km, ascent/descent: 512/512 m 3. May 3, 2026 – Magura – 6 km, ascent/descent: 251/251 m

Note: The number of participants is limited by accommodation capacity – 9 beds + about 3-4 participants (sleeping bag, mat). Meals from personal supplies – restaurant. Information and registration with the event leader is necessary by April 28, 2026, until the accommodation capacities of the lodge are filled or by agreement on the floor in a sleeping bag on a mat. Possible one-day attendance from Spišská Nová Ves for hikes on May 2 and 3, 2026, after registration and agreement with the event leader. Attendance by car is also possible – parking in front of the lodge is available. The cost of accommodation for 3 nights for participants staying in beds when capacities are filled (9 participants) is €15/stay; for sleeping in a sleeping bag on a mat, it is €7.50/stay – applies to members of the Department of KST AC LB.

Only members of the KST AC LB SNV department with a membership card and valid sticker for the year 2026 are insured on the trip. Each participant joins the tourist event at their own risk, is responsible for their safety and behavior in nature.
