Teatr Latarnia (Poland): Little Pasha or the Story of Jesus' Dog
starring: Mateusz Tymura script and direction: Paulina Karczewska, Mateusz Tymura
a performance for children (7+) and adults\
Every dog is said to have its story. This one changed the course of human history. From the tale of a lost mixed-breed dog, an extraordinary legend about Burko is born – a dog that met Jesus, traveled by his side, and became his faithful companion. (A kind narrative about human destiny, friendship, and devotion that will make you laugh and touch your heart.) The script of the performance is based on a fragment of the novel The Peasants (Chłopi), for which its author Władysław Reymont was awarded the Nobel Prize in 1924. The production has been presented at nearly fifty festivals in Europe and has been part of the repertoire of the legendary Teatr Wierszalin for over two years.
