Beliansky Express 2026
Beliansky Express 2026
Beliansky Express is returning to the tracks. The summer season will kick off on June 13.
Train enthusiasts can look forward to the return of the popular seasonal connection between Slovakia and Poland. The Beliansky Express will embark on its first journey of the year on Saturday, June 13, and will operate every weekend throughout the summer season until September 13.
The Beliansky Express offers a comfortable way to discover interesting places from Poprad to Muszyna without the hassle of a car or parking. The route runs from Poprad through Kežmarok, Spišská Belá, Podolínec, Stará Ľubovňa, and Plaveč to the Polish spa town of Muszyna.
Muszyna is one of the biggest attractions along the entire route. The town is known for its well-kept parks, promenades, and several mineral springs. A popular spot is the Sensory Garden, which offers relaxation in nature and beautiful views of the surrounding landscape. The historic center with its picturesque streets creates a pleasant atmosphere for an afternoon stroll.
However, the trip doesn’t have to end in Muszyna. From there, it’s easy to continue to the famous spa resort of Krynica, which is one of the most visited tourist destinations in southern Poland. The highlights include a modern observation tower in the treetops, a cable car to the peak of Jaworzyna Krynicka, and numerous hiking trails.
The Slovak part of the route also offers interesting stops. In Kežmarok, the historic center with its castle and wooden articulated church is worth a visit. Families with children can combine their journey with a visit to the Strážky Castle near Spišská Belá. History lovers will definitely not miss Stará Ľubovňa with its dominant castle and open-air museum. A nice trip is also offered by Plaveč, where the ruins of a castle rise above it, providing views of the Poprad river valley.
Traveling on the Beliansky Express is an experience in itself. The train passes through the picturesque Poprad valley, alongside mountain slopes, charming villages, and green hills that add to the charm of the journey. Train travel allows you to enjoy the beauty of the border region from a completely different perspective.
The Beliansky Express will operate on weekends from June 13 to September 13, 2026. It departs from Poprad every Saturday and Sunday at 7:29 AM and 3:29 PM, arriving in Muszyna at 9:10 AM and 5:10 PM, respectively. In the opposite direction, it leaves Muszyna at 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM.
A special tariff called EUROPA REGIONAL Muszyna applies on the route. A one-way ticket from Poprad to Muszyna costs €6, from Kežmarok and Podolínec €5, from Stará Ľubovňa €4, and from Plaveč €3. Children aged 6 to 16 travel at half price, and children under 6 years travel free of charge when accompanied by an adult. Bike transport costs €1.50.
