Igor Pančuk, an academic painter, was born on June 12, 1958, in Chernivtsi, Bukovina in the Ukrainian Republic. He studied from 1979 to 1984 at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Odessa Institute, specializing in oil painting under professors P. A. Zločivský and I. I. Logvin. After completing his studies, he began working as a university lecturer at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Kherson Institute in Kherson, where he worked from 1984 to 1992. He is a winner of the young artists competition in Odessa in 1983 and in Kherson in 1986. He participated in exhibitions in Odessa in 1988, in Berezhany in 1989, and annually in Kherson from 1985 to 1992. In 1994, he began working and exhibiting in Slovakia, where he continues to be active to this day.
