Bachledka - Treetop Walk

Bachledka - Treetop Walk

Introduction

The Bachledka Treetop Walk is a unique tourist attraction located in Bachledova Valley near Ždiar, under the Belianske Tatry mountains. It is a barrier-free wooden walkway winding through the tree crowns at heights up to 24 meters above the ground.

Characteristics

The total length of the walkway is 1,236 meters and has an almost circular character. Along the route, there are three educational stops with views of the Belianske Tatry and Spišská Magura. Children can have fun with three-dimensional nature-themed aids or bravely walk three side paths with moving rope flooring.

Observation Tower

The walkway ends with a climb to a massive 32-meter high observation tower shaped like a spiral with seven turns. From the tower, you can see the peaks of the High Tatras on the western side and the Pieniny Three Crowns on the eastern side. A surprise at the top of the tower is a trampoline made of flexible netting in the center of the structure.

Dry Slide

In the center of the tower, a dry slide is also in operation, providing an adrenaline experience.

Access

Access to the resort is by bus from Poprad or Tatranská Lomnica to Ždiar (stop Ždiar, Bachledova dolina, rázc.). From there, it's less than a kilometer on foot to the lower cable car station. Some buses go all the way to the cable car (stop Ždiar, Bachledova dol. č. 12). By car, you can drive to the lower cable car station. The cable car transports visitors near the walkway; on foot, it takes over an hour.

Accessibility

The walkway is barrier-free, allowing access for visitors with limited mobility and families with strollers.
